Testing the tent poles of Anglicanism

Retired Anglican Bishop of Fredericton, Rev. William Hockin, made some interesting observations on the state of the Anglican church in an article (“Testing the tent poles of Anglicanism”) appearing in the April 2006 issue of the Anglican Journal. According to Rev. Hockin, the working theology” prevalent in the Anglican church today is “hacking at the ‘tent poles’ - attacking the very beliefs that hold the communion together”.
